We provide independent quantity surveying services, including cost estimates, tender pricing, bills of quantities, quote reviews, contract advice and related cost consultancy. Our estimates and advice are professional opinions of cost based on the information you provide. They are not guarantees of actual construction costs, tender outcomes or third-party prices. We do not verify the accuracy of drawings, specifications or contractor quotes supplied to us.
If you are a consumer and you buy our services online, by phone or by email, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of the day we confirm your instruction, without giving a reason.
For business customers, once work has started fees are non-refundable except where covered by our guarantee in Section 6, and any agreed work carried out is chargeable.
Where our written service confirmation expressly includes a savings guarantee: if we do not identify savings equal to or greater than our fee, you do not pay that fee. To claim, you must notify us in writing within 7 days of receiving our report, with evidence of the alternative pricing relied on.
We hold professional indemnity insurance with Hiscox Insurance Company Ltd with a limit of indemnity of £250,000 each and every claim. Details are available on request.
We treat your project information, drawings and pricing as confidential and keep every client's information strictly separate. We do not share your tender information with other clients.
Reports, estimates and documents we produce are for your use on the project they were prepared for. We retain the intellectual property in our documents, templates and methods.
If you are unhappy with any part of our service, email hello@costable.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to respond fully within 14 days.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. A delay in enforcing any right is not a waiver of it. These terms are the entire agreement between us in relation to the services, alongside our written service confirmation.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of the part of the UK where you live.
